Shropshire is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt counties in England. The hill country in the south has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Church Stretton is situated at the heart of its most attractive part.
Included in our walking programme may be an exploration of the steep sided valleys of the Long Mynd, with a climb to the highest point, Pole Bank and a walk to take in the excellent views from the heights of Caer Caradoc and Bodbury Hill.
To the east lies the gentler terrain of Wenlock Edge, an amazingly rare and special wooded limestone escarpment, with dramatic views and rare lime-loving wild flowers.
To the west, the remarkable line of dark quartzite tors of the Stiperstones leads to a series of ridges, which roll across the horizon and into Wales. The tops of the hills in these parts are open and offer fantastic views across Shropshire and the Welsh borders; this is superb walking country!
