Wiltshire is a beautiful place to walk, full of idyllic towns and villages that have been around for hundreds of years. Walking around them is like travelling 300 years back in time.
Of these, we can visit the rural village of Lacock, which is owned by the National Trust. Its cobbled streets have featured in many films and TV productions. Castle Combe (voted England's most beautiful village in the 1960s) has been kept almost as a showpiece - there are no TV aerials or street lamps to be seen.
A highlight of this tour may be a walk from Silbury Hill. Built around 2,500BC, this is the largest man-made hill in Europe. We can also visit the nearby stone circle at Avebury, considered by many to be more impressive than Stonehenge, twenty miles away.
We're also able to follow the River Avon for a day or we can follow the Macmillan Way through the Bybrook Valley to Box, home of the famous railway tunnel.
There's also Bath to visit for a day, walking some of the six mile Bath Skyline walk, before descending into the town for lunch, and a sample drink of the famous foul tasting spa waters.
